If you found two envelopes with $10,000, would you do what you could to find the real owner?

That's what Mitch Gilbert from Greenwood Village in the U.S. state of Colorado did when he recently came across two envelopes from Caesar's Palace casino with $5,000 each in Las Vegas airport.

Although there was low tide in the economy at Mitch, who work on as a mediator, he chose nevertheless to follow his conscience and return the money to the correct owner, which has given him the nickname "Angel of Sin City."

“I wanted to show my kids the right thing to do. It would have been a lot easier keeping it to be honest with you. But I felt like I had to get it back to the right person. I would have loved to have $10,000. But it felt so good to be able to get it back to the guy. I felt like a million bucks.”

But it was not entirely without problems, the money could be delivered. Mitch phoned the airport to say he had found the money. The staff refused, however, to note his name, as it apparently was against official rules.

It did not stop Mitch, and he phoned the airport every day for the next week before he finally was told that Ignacio Marquez had reported money missing. It turned out that he had lost the envelopes on the floor in his haste to his aircraft.

Mitch was then contacted Ignacio, who was very surprised that the money was returned - exactly two days before Christmas.
