Structure of payments for Multi Table Tournaments at InterPoker
In many ways tournaments are different from “cash games”. The way you play these games are the same, but there are some rules that only apply at tournaments.
Disconnections
The game goes on even though a player for some reason gets disconnected. Blind and Ante still will be “taken” automatically. If a player gets disconnected, he/she must log in as fast as possible to continue in the game. If a player does not manage to reconnect, will as time goes by loose all his/her chips in blind and ante, and he/she will be considered out of the tournament.
Players MUST accept this risk of getting disconnected. It can and will happen. (Log in again and continue playing as fast as possible). We take no responsibility at any time if a player gets disconnected no matter what causes the disconnection. If a player gets disconnected during a round of playing, he/she will have 30 seconds to re-establish the connection. If a player is not able to do so, the player’s hand will be folded unless he/she is “all-in”. If the player chooses to “sit out”, he/she will be considered as “away from the table” - the cards that are handed out are considered folded. When this is the case, Blind still will be “taken” from your chips. If you are “time-out” (if you have spent too much time thinking about your next move), or if you get disconnected, you will automatically be considered “away from the table” until you do your marking in the box and you will be playing again.
Playing
You can participate by clicking on “Tournament” in the lobby and choose a tournament that is open for registration. When the chosen tournament starts, the table opens automatically in a new window. All seats are given at random. Please remember that if you are already playing at the maximum number of tables allowed, you will see a dialog box - this dialog box gives you the opportunity to terminate the existing table, so that the tournament table can open. You will be marked as “away from the table” until you participate at the tournament table. Blinds are rising by regular intervals as the tournament proceeds – these will be described as “levels”. Opposite cash games, blinds must be placed and can not be skipped. This happens automatically. In order to keep it fair for all players a “dead button” is sometimes used to achieve this.
The software keeps balance between the number of players per table. As players get knocked out you might be moved to another table. Since this happens at random you might experience this several times during a tournament. As the number of players decreases, the software will gather and close tables until only one table is left. When a player looses all he’s/her chips, these will automatically be moved from the table unless there is a possibility for “re-buy”. A “re-buy” tournament means that a player, who has lost all he’s/her chips, for a given period of time is able to buy new chips for a new buy-in.
