Online Gambling Neteller has new card product ready for launch in october
  Wednesday, August 27, 2008
The e-cash processor company from Isle of Man, Neteller, has a new product in store for their customers. After entering into an agreement with the Conister Financial Group plc subsidiary, TransSend Payment Services, they are now ready to introduce a new prepaid card service in October.

The collaboration between the two companies will make Net+ MasterCard Prepaid Card facility available to Netellers users. Neteller will soon be offering the new Net+ card to its e-wallet users. According to the company, the new card will provide improved privacy, convenience, value and security.

The e-wallet costumors will be able to choose between two new products from early October 2008.

To online use there is the Net+ MasterCard card. It's a card for single usage, it has a unique 16 digit card number and populates the checkout page with full payment details for the user. The card provides customers the opportunity to pay online on all sites that also accepts MasterCard, and a high level of privacy and security. The Net+ Virtual Card will be part of the Neteller Desktop where users also will be able to check their balance on their accounts without having to visit the main Neteller site.

Users can also choose a physical Net+ MasterCard to access funds within the user's e-wallet at points-of-sale, or to withdraw cash at an ATM. Customers can use the card at 27.3 millions locations, which include 1.9 millions ATM-machines all over the world where MasterCard is accepted.

An announcement from Neteller says that the partnership between TransSend and Neteller is at a high stage with a scheduled launch for early October.

CEO and President of the Neteller Group, Ron Martin, said: ""This is another important milestone for Neteller and demonstrates further evidence of the Group delivering on its strategy. The anticipated launch of the Net+ prepaid cards will provide our consumers with a more effective and cost-efficient way to withdraw and utilise funds in their e-wallets."

The CEO of TransSend, Richard Jones, said: "Neteller's position as a leading provider of innovative payment solutions and their widespread customer base in both gaming and non-gaming markets made them an attractive partner for us. We fully expect that this partnership will generate one of the leading prepaid card programmes in the market today and are excited about the opportunities we see within Neteller's card-based strategy for further developments."
