The schedule for the 41st World Series of Poker has just been published. The beginning is on May 27, 2010 when the live action and the satellites begin. The annual poker series date back to 1970. The event is televised on ESPN from the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, Nevada. The tournament runs from May 27 to July 17, 2010. This year's series consist of 57 events with 57 coveted bracelets up for grabs the same number of tournaments as last year. The national holy day on the 4th of July is the only day off from the poker tournaments but satellites to the big event will be held their for those that did make it otherwise. The first event to kick off this year's series is the Player's Champion with a $50.000 buy-in, which is the most expensive tournament in the series. A bracelet and the prestigious Chip Reese Memorial Trophy are at stake here along with a lot of money. During the first days of the tournament a lot of different poker variants will be played these are the games: Limit Hold'em, Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, Seven Card Razz, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha and 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball will be played, with the Final Table being No-Limit Hold'em. The entire event will be televised by ESPN. As always it the $10.000 No Limit Hold'em Championship known as the Main Event that is the biggest one of them alle. The Main Event starts on July 5 and should reach its final table of nine players on Saturday, July 17 at which time the game will be halted like last year until November, where the "November Nine" will be ready at the final table with a live audience.
