More female online poker players

The online gambling industry keeps on growing thanks to the many female players. The usual image of a few men sitting around a table with smoking cigars and beer on the table still lingers in many minds when people mentions poker. Lately a lot of the players at tables have been women and a lot of them have outplayed the men in the poker games and sometimes even in the number of players at the table.

Poker Players Research suggested in a recent study of the online poker market that the number of women playing poker will rise dramatically over the next couple of years. Within two years the study believes that the female poker players will make up a third of the poker players. The biggest poker tournaments around the world, like the World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker have both launched ladies-only tournaments, so they really know where the market is heading at the moment. The online poker rooms are also marketing their games toward women and profiling more female poker players.

The online poker rooms keep a close eye on the online bingo sites that have been very successful in attracting women to the sites and the combination of online poker and online bingo sites will be an obvious part of the future online gaming offers marketed at the female players.
