The 3D online poker room PKR.com announced today that they have secured a deal with Bluff Media that will make PKR the exclusive live broadcaster of 24 bracelet events in this years World Series of Poker (WSOP). PKR will be the only place where European poker fans can follow the World Series of Poker, because the American sports channel ESPN has decided to cut back on the transmissions. The best news about the new deal is that the poker fans can enjoy the live action for free at PKRs WSOP site wsop.pkr.com. The live broadcasts do not cover the Main Event, but there are other mentionable events in the pipeline, the biggest of these must be the $50,000 World Championship H.O.R.S.E, which is regarded as the most prestigious events among the top poker players. Other events to keep an eye out for are five $10,000 World Championship final tables of tournaments such as the $10,000 World Championship Heads Up No Limit Hold'em (event #29) and the $10,000 World Championship Pot Limit Omaha (event #41). Simon Prodger, the Marketing Director from PKR said about the deal: "The World Series of Poker is without doubt the biggest event of the poker calendar and it fills me with delight that PKR has managed to scoop exclusive rights to be the official broadcaster for these 24 bracelet events." PKR will because of this deal be the exclusive non-US sponsor of the official WSOP website. This latest deal is the biggest news in a year that has been very good for the online poker room. Lately they announced that PKR would be hosting a World Series welcome party on the July, 1st at the Palms. At the moment there are a lot of $12.500 WSOP Main Event packages up for grabs at the site.
