PokerStars are stepping up the battle against fraudsters by offering players a unique solution for protecting their accounts with a new key ring. The key ring is called The RSA Security Token and is a small key ring that displays a six-digit number that changes every minute and forms part of a new and unique log code. With this kind of technology, fraudsters with key loggers are set out of the game again because you have to have the key ring physically with you to be able to enter the right code a code that is never the same. This method is used in other areas where security is a top priority in military installations, government buildings or around sensitive corporate information. PokerStars is the first site to bring this kind methods to their customers. A PokerStars security spokesperson said: "Helping players protect their accounts is a top priority for PokerStars and we are always looking at ways to improve security. The RSA token provides a super-strong defense against unauthorized access by upgrading account security to a 'two factor authentication' process the player's unique password plus the unique number generated by the token. It's a cutting edge security solution that enables us to provide players with unrivalled security and peace of mind." RSA is on of the largest and most recognized security companies in the world and have a track record of delivering top-of-the-class security solutions to a lot of different customers.
