It's time to announce this year's poker stars and the nominees for the 11th edition of the European Poker Awards has just been published.
Among the nominees, we find Swedish Viktor Blom, who is in the category Net online play for his many impressive victories at the computer.
In the category of this year's player we find the French Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier, who won his first WSOP bracelet and two high-roller events at the EPT this year. A player who has made him particularly noticed is Pius Heinz, who is nominated for all three awards, including 'rookie of the year', 'Best tournament performance' and 'Player of the Year'. This is partly due to Heinz has won the WSOP main event.
Nomination is based on a poll of poker fans that have had the opportunity to vote for their favorite candidate on the list. The five players who have received the most votes have been given a place in the competition, and it is now up to an expert panel to find the worthy winner.
Who will win the prestigious awards will be decided on 25th January when the European Poker Awards held at the Aviation Club in Paris at a grand gala show.
