PokerStars Review

PokerStars is a very large poker site with over 5000 online players during peak times. PokerStars is definently among the 3 biggest online poker rooms on the Internet at the moment, only topped by Party Poker and Paradise Poker. Having said that, PokerStars is the home of the world series of online poker (WSOP) the largest online tournament. PokerStars is by far and away the biggest tournament site.

So if it's tournament action you are looking for then PokerStars is the place to be. Tournament action is fast and the games are extremely good. However, limit games too offer quite good value, filled with those who made and early exit for the tournament. In particular, we found the $1/$2 pot limit Hold'em games to be very entertaining.

There is no question that PokerStars software is among the best on the market. The graphics are extremely well presented, and the game runs smoothly. The software developers here have done an excellent job. A very cool feature is the option to upload a photograph (gif file picture). This way all the other players can see a picture of you (or whatever you have uploaded). Player notes can also be taken, which is a feature more and more sites are adding.
PokerStars also has great statistics available. You can check stuff like the amount of hands you have won as a percentage, the number of pots you have been in and so on.

New players receive an 100% welcome bonus up to $50. PokerStars has a Frequent Player Points (FPP) system that will reward players for playing at the site. Players can accumulate points by playing in ring games and in multi-table tournaments that include a tournament fee. Theses points are redeemable for special tournament buy-ins, promotions, as well as various other prizes which will be announced from time to time.

PokerStars offer Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7-Card Stud and 7-Card Stud Hi/Lo. PokerStars is home to online pokers equivalent on the "World Series of Poker" the "World Championship of Online Poker" (WCOOP). Pot limit and No Limit action is also available at this site.

All in all PokerStars is a very userfriendly and rewarding online poker room. You can win the entry to World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP). Chris Moneymaker won the World Series of Poker using an entry from PokerStars.
