What Are The Rules Of Craps?
Craps involves a single player rolling two, six sided dice. A game starts with players placing a bet either on the ‘Pass Line’ or ‘Don’t Pass Line’ before a single roll is made.
Once these bets are made, a player — commonly referred to as ‘The Shooter’ — will roll the dice. This is known as the ‘Come Our Roll.’ There are three possible outcomes of this roll:
Scenario #1: The roll is a 7 or 11, ‘Pass Line’ bets win and ‘Don’t Pass Line’ bets lose.
Scenario #2: The roll is a 2, 3, or 12. ‘Pass Line’ bets lose and ‘Don’t Pass Line’ bets win.
Scenario #3: The is a 4,5,6,8,9, or 10. No bets win or lose. This simply establishes a “point.”
Once a point is established, the Shooter continues to roll the dice. If the point number is rolled before a 7 is rolled, the ‘Pass Line’ bets win. If the point number is not rolled again before a 7 is rolled, the ‘Don’t Pass Line’ bets lose.
